On November 27, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. MDT, USU Forestry Extension hosted the second "Learn at Lunch" webinar. Randy Gordon, Program Manager with the Arbor Day Foundation and Meridith Perkins, UCF Cordinator with State Forestry presented information about planting trees for strategic benefits.

Trees are the answer, right? In addition to the wonderful aesthetics and sense of place trees provide people and communities, they also contribute to solving big state and national issues. Learn how others are utilizing trees as a resource to combat poor air quality, increase energy efficiency, promote business, grow local produce, and more. During this webinar Randy Gordon, Program Manager at the Arbor Day Foundation, will provide a unique perspective on creative national urban forestry projects and initiatives, while Meridith Perkins, Utah Urban & Community Forestry Coordinator, will offer local insight and opportunities. Trees really do pay us back, but it is up to us to “grow” their potential.
